There’s no-one around like Adam Lambert when he’s served with a wicked tune, and on his new Max Martin-produced single “Ghost Town”, he’s definitely firing on all cylinders. The gentle opening guitar soon gives way to a driving 4/4 beat with a whistle chorus similar to Adam Levine’s “Moves Like Jagger”.  Lambert’s a better singer than Levine, though, and delivers the wistful lyrics without making them overly sentimental. By the time he hits the bridge, he’s scaling the vocal heights in the exciting way only he can do.  Our verdict?  The songs’s a winner and is already on our playlists.

the "critics" on this podcast remind me so much of peeps who luv to hear themselves talk and be cute......was not impressed...what i did get a kick out of... was when the one dude, most verbal,  listened again to GT ....and then sort of backed off .........as to the "not gonna make it to the Top 20"?...think those words are goin' to be stale and rancid in his mouth for a long time...but am going to give these individuals some reprieve...because.....the expectations for adam are always high...and for adam to meet all these expectations...pretty impossible.......in the end.....this just exhibits how high the standards are for his talent........everyone has their opinion as to how he should push the pop envelope....because they know he can do it........

Jason has always been a big fan and if trespassing was his cup of tea, this is really different. I think you are right that his expectations were crazy high. I think the other dude has a Madonna complex and wasn't great at hiding his  irritation that Adams song had the same title. I do understand not loving it on first listen. It took me a minute to recover from how different it is and Adam going in such a different direction. Like they said, it is offbeat. Having said that I don't think I realized how truly catchy it was and much more of an earworm than it first seems until I found it impossible to get the whistle out of my brain. Third time was the charm for me. Now I'm kind of obsessed. I think it will do far better than top 20. If played it will be huge. People will love it the more they hear it.

I'm just curious.,with all the raves we've been reading/hearing about Ghost Town, was there any negative review?  And are the radio stations playing it? (Sorry - out of the loop. Spent the day at the doctors with a friend, so have been totally away from it all.)
