Another take on the great Save Me debate is that Brian's guitar was unplugged form the amp.
Listening to the isolated vocals, there is no guitar until after Rufus does his thing.

Another take on the great Save Me debate is that Brian's guitar was unplugged form the amp.
Listening to the isolated vocals, there is no guitar until after Rufus does his thing.

And we've been 'analyzing' the glitch for over an hour... Maybe the guitar wasn't the problem. But Brian looks like he sings "Save Me" in his mic as back up and no sound... So maybe a mic issue!!! We are so bored!!! We have been comparing other performances of Save Me to the RIR one... there doesn't seem to be any guitar at that point.

I still don't understand what happened. He was singing, then he stopped. Not that it really matters anyway.....just one of those things that make live music so exciting.

... but we were bored last night and tried to do some "Shelock Holmes'ing"...

I'm commenting here only because I am at my office, sipping on my coffee and no one else has shown up and it is 11:30 a.m. It's been raining steadily since 7:15 a.m. and I am totally bored!

Adam starts the song with no accompaniment then after the first verse, you can usually hear a light bit of guitar come in. At this point at Rock in Rio, Adam reached for his ear piece thinking that something was wrong with it but he kept singing. Then right before Brian's first heavy strum, Adam completely stopped because he had already figured out that Brian's feed was not working. He headed to the equipment but I am not sure if he knew how to fix it. Rufus also immediately realized there was a problem and ran over and flipped a switch and Brian's guitar sound came in loud and clear.

Basically, the young guys took charge and resolved that issue in record time!
