Guy-next-door Kris Allen won the latest season of "American Idol." But guyliner-wearing runner-up Adam Lambert stole the show when the Top 10 finalists performed Sunday night at Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center.
Decked out in black leather like a glam Hells Angel, Lambert got down to business with a scintillating romp through Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love," complete with mildly suggestive strokes of his microphone stand.

He basked in the loudest cheers of the evening. He also delivered the most adventurous set, eschewing obvious selections in favor of lesser-known tunes by Muse ("Starlight") and Tears for Fears ("Mad World") that suited his glittery sensibilities.
Lambert did right by a David Bowie medley, too, culminating with "Let's Dance."
Many well-established acts would have been hard-pressed to follow Lambert, so at least give Allen credit for putting forth a noble effort.
The reigning "Idol" champion opened on an edgy note with a reworking of Kanye West's "Heartless" and played it safe by closing with the Beatles standby "Hey Jude."
In between, Allen accompanied himself on guitar and piano for capable if workmanlike covers of hits by the Killers, Bill Withers and Matchbox Twenty. There was no denying Allen's impressive set of pipes, although he could have used a few star-power pointers from Lambert.
Going forward, Lambert could make a believer out of anyone. For his colleagues, the trick will be making sure we can still remember their names in a few months.
I'm going to positively kill him and throw a tempter tantrum!!!!!! :argh:

She had some great pictures in that video. I don't know if she posted them anywhere I hadn't seen these. So I took some screen shots. They are bigger but a little too big to put here so I made these two I like the best a little smaller.
