Hey guys! :w00twave: Long time lurker here, first time posting. First of all, let me apologize for bumping a thread 1 month old. I just saw this thread, because I don't normally go to this section :P
Reading through this entire thread, I see that there are many misconceptions about Singapore. I'm not angry, but I became panicky myself after seeing all of you discuss about how Adam might get in trouble for the Adommy kiss on stage. :haha: First, Singapore law is not as extreme as some of you might think.
Indeed, homosexuality is a crime in my country. However! The individuals themselves do not care at all for this, and
even the government is quite lax on this policy. Trust me, the police isn't going to arrest someone for sucking fingers or having a tongue in the ear, as previous posters have envisioned :haha: A simple Fever kiss isn't going to land our BB Adam in jail! Especially since they are aware this is merely a performance. In other words,
homosexuality is very, VERY tolerated in Singapore. Of course, there's always a line that cannot be crossed, but a kiss is extremely far from that!
I think you guys think we're so uptight and strict on rules is because we're Asian.
(I hope I'm not sounding condescending here :"> ) Singapore is incredibly westernized, as are many other modern countries. Just look at Japan. Judging by the amount of fanservice (wardrobe malfunction heh), I think you know how open-minded they are! As for Malaysia, I can't say much, but although the government prevents any Adommy or any hints of homosexuality, I can tell you that the people don't feel the same. I know of many Malaysia Glamberts who are just as desperate for some Adommy action! xD
(oh- and about the 'gasps when Adam kissed his guitarist' - I don't think it's true
I didn't hear anything of the sort! Or maybe I was too busy screaming my head off LOL. :haha: )
Ahh, I feel bad for not discovering this thread earlier, I could have updated you guys. :(
Again, sorry for bumping this thread even though the concert was months ago xD It felt important for me to say this. I'm so glad to see Singapore has done well!
