Overall I think he is always (with very few exceptions) attractive. His black hair looked great but I think these brownish/reddish/"caramellow" tones are fitting better with his natural skin.
I wish I had the energy and guts to change and experimenting like he does.

I love the lighter tones he has been sporting lately. I also liked the black/bluish hair when he had a longer cut on Idol but overall, there were many instances where it looked too harsh against his light complexion and takes a ton of maintenance to keep the roots from showing. The lighter tone lends to more time between die jobs and fewer visits to the hairdresser when he is likely to get it whacked off! A while back he said that he didn't like light hair because it made him look too young! At this point in his career, looking much younger is a plus.
I actually love the caramellow...especially since it's just the quiff. Altho, I loved the really blond hair he sported a few years ago. I was at a small M&G when he had the full blond hair...and up close he was gorgeous (not that he isn't always..).
I still like the emo look he sported on Idol, but that is so out of date now.
But whatever color he chooses, I just like to see it longer on the top...the hanging-over-the-forehead thingy is sooooo sexy!!
