Adam Lambert's "Complicated" Reaction to Madonna's "Ghosttown" Single

Adam Lambert is just out with his new single, " Ghost Town ," but Madonna's latest single, also called " Ghosttown ," is already moving up the charts. Adam tells Billboard he was happy about the choice of "Ghost Town" as the lead single from his upcoming album The Original High. ..until he decided to browse through iTunes one day.

"I'm on my laptop on a little four-day vacation in Mexico," he explains. "And I open up my iTunes, I'm searching through, and I'm like, Oh, Madonna's music is out! I love Madonna! I've always loved Madonna -- she's an icon, she's an amazing entertainer. And I see on the track listing a song called 'Ghosttown.' And I thought, 'What are the chances? What is the hell is going on here?'"

Adam described his reaction as "so complicated," adding that he texted his managers and said, "Did you see this? Did you see this ? What are we gonna do?"  The singer says they told him not to worry because the two songs are so different.

"Hers is like a post-apocalyptic love song, mid-tempo, and mine's like an existential dance goth rave thing. So they're two different songs -- they just share a title," he says.

Adam's album will be out June 16.  Madonna's "Ghosttown" is from her current album, Rebel Heart .  The video for her song co-stars Terence Howard , but Adam says the actor won't be appearing in his video. "Sorry, Empire fans!" he laughs.

Looking through the threads and trying to see how Ghost Town is doing, but it's a little overwhelming, especially for someone who really doesn't follow/understand some of these terms,,charts, etc.  I'm trying to find out if Ghost Town has been placed on the playlists of any New York stations, and how it is doing. I looked at Z100s site, but I can't really find the info. I was hoping, since it is an iheart radio station and iheart has seemed supportive and impressed, that they would put it on their playlist. But I can't seem to find it.
