We all started out in the same place and then split up into many different web sites and then we condensed into three main sites: MTT, Adamtopia & Adam Official. Outside of those, I spoke to some ladies who said that there are quite a few who keep in touch through facebook. Of course there are also some on ONTD and then groups from other countries who are more comfortable using their own language and have found their own means of communicating.

Generally, I don't think they have given up on Adam and they still want to go to his concerts but just have moved on with their lives; no longer feeling a need to be on here with the same intensity, if at all. They have families and busy lives that demand much of their time and sometimes it is hard to join into a conversation if you are not staying so closely in touch with what is going on. I have no responsibilities other than work and no family members to take care of so coming on here is one of my pleasures and ways of avoiding total boredom. Yes, I am guilty of spending more time just reading and looking at videos than actually posting things but I do try to contribute when the inspiration hits me! ::brightidea:: ::crylaugh::

I do know that many of our OG Glamberts are on still on twitter which allows them the freedom to move around and just add their 2 cents worth of commentary as they go. That same group has embraced Instagram and Snapchat as well....and this of course is how we obtain a lot of the content on this forum.

Adam just isn't spending enough time in America popping up on our TV or in the tabloids. He is just too nice...no one has a beef with him. The paparazzi don't even try to take advantage of him much anymore! I think that until Adam finds some way to really grab the attention of the American public on a more constant basis again, we are just not going to see the same level of involvement on the forums like before.
Hi we are still connected to Adam and I check in to see what Adam is up to and love that he is doing so many different things.... Will never get tired of him been to every concert tour since his Idol concert, Glamnation, Tresspassing , QAL and OH tour .... i am getting a kick out of his snap chats Lol. Thank you Marie and all posters ::thumbsup:: ::clap:: ::hello:: ::derrderr:: ::superninja:: not a poster but just ::flowers:: ::wub:: ::heart:: you ladies & men who keep all things ADAM ::derrderr:: ::banana:: ::wootdance:: ::devil:: going--- tbert ::yes:: ::hello:: ::hello::

YES! Adam is no longer the subject of gay tabloid fodder so maybe his management and WBR are pushing to get his face on the covers of more magazines and TV ads, etc. via modeling. Just what I was talking about yesterday. He needs a lot more visibility and hopefully this will help!

Happy 4th, everybody !!!

Planning on a quiet day, just hubby and me (hopefully). Didn't really get a chance to plan anything as his Dad and wife are in town, and we didn't know if we were going to be doing anything with them. Then son and girlfriend called to see if they could spend a couple of nights while they're out and about with friends, so we decided to just play it by ear and wait and see what everybody ended up doing.

Our preference is usually a quiet house lol ::laughing::

My old body just had to recuperate from building forts with blankets, going swimming, going to a movie, keeping a close eye on a very active 6 year old!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it! ::crylaugh::

ETA: I'm ready for a nap at 3:45... ::friendsLOL::

By the way, I am THRILLED to see 'some' conversation taking place on our board.

I think that we were all too exhausted to talk with each other from the whirlwind TOHT, QAL concerts....

Nice to have some breathing room again... and getting exciting news from MILK and being able to gush over 'our' Adam being a 'model'... What the heck took the world so long to come up with that one?

Omg, I'm so excited to see what he's going to do with that latest career move....he's just so full of surprises ::clap:: ::clap::

I think it helps that he's so dang talented in so many different areas, so he keeps us hopping.

And yeah, exhausted is a good word....not just with the tours, etc, but real life.

Hubby just got diagnosed with diabetes, he's 44, so it's been an interesting 2 months as he learns to live with that and we both get educated on what that means. Plus he's been super stressed at work (it's a mess), and has started a dog training business on the side (that he started getting into when we got our problem dog 5 years ago). He's up to 8 clients now plus working full time (he's an IT specialist with a large company).

The mantra around here, as said repeatedly by the love of my life "no more drama, no more drama"....I have to keep reminding him all the drama is coming from him lol ::haha:: ::haha::

Thank god for Adam...he keeps me distracted ::wub::

AWWW! I feel for you and your hubby, SVCA.... Learning to alter our lives/diets is huge and oftentimes confusing.

Keep your chins up, guys!!!!!

Well, thank goodness we don't have to alter our diets too much...he had a high blood sugar scare a few years ago, and started cutting down on the breads, pasta, etc., and started eating more protein. We got really good at reading labels, etc.

His downfall was the stress at work, and his sleep apnea. He couldn't stay away from the milkshakes and ice cream....some people turn to alcohol, but he doesn't drink, so ice cream it was lol. The stress from work, the stress from the sleep apnea and the excess of sugar and voila, you have diabetes.

But the good news is, he's done a really good job of monitoring his glucose count, and is being very disciplined as far as diet, etc. He'll be fine. It just would have been nice to listen to the wife when she expresses concern about how many milkshakes you're scarfing down lol ::duh::

Hope it's been a safe and happy 4th for my fellow Americans. To celebrate all Americans, here's a great new video from the Ad Council with John Cena explaining what patriotism really means.

Hope the Americans on the board had a nice Fourth. Today was a bit iffy in New Jersey, Morning for the parade was quite lovely, but the clouds were coming in all day. Around 8:30 pm, it was getting windy and it was certain that rain was moving in. Sure enough, at 9 the skies opened up and it poured. The fireworks finally went off at 10:15, which we could mostly see from the front porch. Of course, my son is working a construction job and has to be on the road at 4am. His logical question was, if we have three day weekend, and most people have to be back at work on Tuesday, why do we put off the fireworks until late Monday?
Seems like a logical question, since it's the only holiday I can think of where the focal point of the event occurs around 9pm.

I love this video..it's perfect ! With what's going on in the world and in our country, we need to pull together..not let hateful people (insert Donald Trump) pull us apart.

I had a nice restful 4th of July. My kitties are good with fireworks, so I don't have to worry about them. I live on the MA coast a couple of miles from RI, so I was able to see fireworks Sat, Sun and last night! I couldn't see the ground fireworks, but that's ok. Lots of tourists in town for the Bristol parade kept me around home and out of touristy areas like Newport RI. Still able to get my lobster roll though. Yum!

Really enjoying knowing where Adam is and hoping for more videos soon. Thanks to everyone who brings in all the news and pics and videos. I know there is a tutorial that Marie wrote, and I'll have to find it so maybe I can help with pics and vids.

Welcome to the newbies. ::hello::

I know what you mean. It's always nice until you try to go to bed, and then you're kept up until 1 am or after in the morning because inconsiderate assholes keep shooting them off. ::angry:: It happens every year around here, and my husband always has to work the next day even on weekends. ::angry:: We're starting to dread this holiday.

I could definitely use some more rest! ::angry:: Our cats stay indoors but 2 of them still were still kinda freaked out over all the racket. They're fine now though ::smile:: And as far as the babbling cheese puff goes... Isn't it amazing that someone who is so obviously phony, can have so many people fooled? ::whut::
