"It is what it is!"
2015-09-16 Ibirapuera Arena - São Paulo, Brazil
TRANSLATION
Last Wednesday, September 16, the supergroup Queen + Adam Lambert performed at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in São Paulo, and the Do not misunderstand me was present to check out the incredible spectacle that was carried out and we have everything for you!
For those who do not know ... Queen + Adam Lambert partnership came about in 2011 after the end of the partnership of the British band with Paul Rodgers in 2009, when Brian May and Roger Taylor participated in the reality show "American Idol" where Adam Lambert It was one of the competitors. Since then, much controversy regarding this partnership are discussed among the millions of fans of one of the biggest rock bands in history.
With the coming of the group to Brazil - which also included an epic presentation to 85,000 people at the Rock in Rio - this discussion has gained more strength thanks to the voice power that social networking has given to its members. Even before Adam Lambert climbed the stage to show their work, comparisons to the incomparable Freddie Mercury were already made and the singer suffered many accusations and name-calling.
The most fervent fans in attendance at the Gymnasium Ibirapuera, still reluctant to accept Adam commanding vocals of the songs that pack much of his memoirs, said to be there solely and exclusively to honor May and Taylor and it was also possible to find shirts and banners in honor of one and irreplaceable Freddie Mercury. Lambert's intention was never replace Mercury, but to honor not only his memory, but also his work, any amount that the singer had and has for his fans and for the history of pop culture. And Adam did with the greatest mastery that could be done: with dignity!
After nearly a year without presenting themselves together - 11 months, to be precise - Queen + Adam Lambert drove the crowd wild. In a show with 2h20min and all the spotlights focused on him, Adam won the audience quickly, and soon the first chords of the third song of the concert setlist, the classic "Fat Bottomed Girls", the mood was festive and there was no suspicion some as the ability of the singer. A task that was not easy, but Adam dominated the evening with great mastery.
No intention of replacing or compare to Mercury, with great personality and undeniable charisma, and presence of dominant stage, Adam Lambert interacts not only with the icons with whom he shares the stage, but also with the packed audience and even the projection of Freddie Mercury, who appears in two special moments of the show - for "Love Of My Life", beautifully played by Brian May, and "Bohemian Rhapsody", where there was an exciting duet between Lambert and Mercury.
The public, as he even older children, likes and sang each letter of the nearly 30 songs presented on stage at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium. One of Adam's solo songs also attended the setlist. The electronic original "Ghost Town", featured rock chords Brian May and Roger Taylor, and it is certainly one of the apexes to the dreamer of 33, who has the opportunity not only to give voice to classic songs of Queen, as also honored to have a song from his repertoire played by these monsters of the rock.
With total of five costumes, including one with beautiful leopard print and a great crown to interpret the end of the show, with "We Are The Champions", Lambert led the Brazil flag back and seemed really touched and moved by the Brazilian energy . Successful partnership, as well as the song "The Show Must Go On" shows that the talent of the Queen veterans who made the legend is still present and that the young rocker should not be left out, but taken to the four corners of the world!
The show is one of the biggest shows in the world and certainly one of the best experiences ever told here in Do not misunderstand me.
